What
is Sasha's Suds n' Duds
Sasha's
Suds n' Duds has been in business since July of 2004, and we have
recently moved the store to 802 West Gray. The new store has all
of the fun toys, clothes, fabulous dog beds, and yummy cookies,
but the best part is the fenced back yard. The dogs are going
to have a great time romping back there while their parents shop.
We also have a self-service dog wash with a waist high tub, and
a large sink (for the little dogs).
Our
customers are now our friends, and a "community" has
formed, with everyone stopping by to see what's new in the store,
let the dog have some playtime, or just to chat and catch up on
the news. We have fun events throughout the year for our customers,
and would love for you to join in the fun. Stop by anytime and
visit with us.
Our
Staff
Sasha
-
Sasha
is a blond and white Shih-tzu, now nine years old.
She is the inspiration for Sasha's Suds n' Duds, and the greeter
and
cookie taster at the store. Sasha is the official model for the
store, and
sometimes, when her doggie friends are available, they sometimes
get
to take part in some of the photo shoots. When she is not greeting
customers, you can find her lounging in her "Furcedes"
dog bed.
Jan - As
the owner of Sasha's Suds n' Duds, I handle
all the buying, (with plenty of input from the staff,) and oversee
the day-to-day running of the store. My years in the hotel
industry taught me, you can't put a price on customer service
and attention to detail. Those are the most important things you
can give to your customers.
Margaret
-
Margaret is retired, but enjoys working part-time at Sasha's.
She owns a large Golden Retriever named Bosley, and he can be
seen in one of
our ads lounging in his bathrobe. Margaret's husband is a good
sport, and played
Santa at our annual holiday party. He was a BIG hit with all the
dogs.
Heather
- Heather
has worked part-time at Sasha's for 3 years.
She has developed quite a following with our customers, and knows
all the dogs by name. A Kinesiology student, she plans to get
her
Masters degree in Physical therapy. While she wants to get a dog
of her own,
for now, Heather takes great pleasure in being around all the
dogs here at
Sasha's, and her grandmother's lab, Maggie.
Kristin
-
Kristin worked part-time when I first opened Sasha's while
she was a student at University of Houston. Even though she has
a full-time job
now, you will still find her here helping out during "Yappy
Hour" nights, and will
sometimes fill in on a week-end.
We are all here to show you around the store,
and
assist you in every way we can.
